Additional test capabilities outdoors

The new laboratory is located adjacent to our own dry dock facilities and this provides opportunities for saltwater immersion, simulated seabed trialling and testing of MV cable systems and umbilicals. 

A submarine cable type testing service to the relevant CIGRE recommendations and IEC standards has been developed which combines our electrical test services with a partner laboratories’ mechanical and hydrostatic test capabilities

Narec has its own experienced team on site and crane lifting capability up to 30 tonnes.
