The company has grown in size by 30% over the last year (2008) and now has over 100 employees with a significant majority engineers with mechanical or electrical specialisms.

Much of our growth has come in offshore renewables from new commercial testing and development contracts and from funding wins for research and supply chain acceleration projects.  This has further strengthened the region’s rising profile as the independent hub for the renewable energy industry in the UK.

Narec is expanding its wind and marine renewables technical teams to help deliver these projects.  We are looking for high calibre engineers, technologists and commercial business development personnel with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Large wind turbine design, development and/or program management
• Marine renewables design, development and/or program management
• Large drive train design, development and program management
• Large rotating machine design, development and program management
• Blade design, manufacturing and testing
• Offshore structures design, development and program management
• Working and managing projects in an offshore environment
• Simulation packages such as CFD, dynamics and FEA
• Six sigma methodology in data analysis or design
