Core Sectors

Narec primarily operates in the offshore and onshore wind, wave and tidal, distributed energy and electrical network sectors.  We provide engineering and industry consultancy; testing and development facilities; and business support services to enable developers of technology to succeed in the marketplace.

Narec has a proven private contract and publicly funded R&D track record and currently manages programmes to support the emerging supply chains across our core sectors at a regional and national level.

Our flexible facilities and unque expertise can also be deployed to test equipment for other sector applications.  We help clients in the automotive, aerospace, communications and subsea sectors to address electrical, engineering and environmental challenges for their systems both onshore and offshore.
