Narec Group

Narec is the UK’s national translational research centre for accelerating grid integration of renewable energy systems and catalysing the development and deployment of offshore renewables - wind, wave and tidal energy generation technologies.

Since it was established in 2003, The National renewable Energy Centre (Narec) has invested over £150 million of Government, private and European funding to create a unique portfolio of independent test, research, development and demonstration assets.

These world leading facilities and capabilities have been established to meet the demands of technology developers and manufacturers and can provide the route to market for both existing suppliers and new entrants to the industry.

Narec Development Services Limited, trading as NDSL, is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Renewable Energy Centre Limited.  It provides commercial services to the renewables sector which utilise the asset and intellectual knowledge held by Narec.
