Narec relocated its electrical networks team to a custom built facility at its headquarters in Blyth, Northumberland earlier this year. Most of the testing equipment was able to be transported from the Clothier Laboratories to the Charles Parson Technology Centre and there has been significant investment in lab facilities to expand capabilities for cable testing.
Following a recent audit by Intertek and ASTA, the new facility has been officially reinstated as an ASTA recognised laboratory. This is a fantastic endorsement of the work undertaken by the team to ensure that quality systems (technical, commercial and project management) have been updated as part of the relocation to Blyth.
