Custom Manfacturing
The Laser Grooved Buried Contact process used at NaREC is highly flexible allowing high efficiency silicon solar cells to be made for a range of shapes and sizes. The technology is particularly effective for the manufacture of low power modules from cut down cells, unusually shaped cells and concentrating solar cells. NaREC supplies high quality, niche manufactured cells and modules to major players in Europe and USA.
NaREC's pilot line for Laser Grooved Buried Contact cell production provides the flexibility to develop new processes and manufacturing techniques in a controlled environment, before scale-up to high volume production. Process trials and small production runs can be undertaken. Current products include:
- Concentrator cells for applications from 2 Suns to 100 Suns
- Modules up to 2Wp
