Network Connections - low voltage (LV) test and certification
The connection of small scale embedded generators (SSEG) to utility networks is governed by Engineering Recommendation G83/1, whose purpose is to standardise the technical requirements for connection where the SSEG’s are required to operate in parallel with public low-voltage distribution networks.
Narec’s engineers are well versed in the requirements of G83/1 and can provide advice and testing facilities to enable manufacturers to comply with these requirements.
Verification of compliance to Engineering Recommendation G83/1 involves successfully completing the following tests:
- Over / Under Voltage
- Over / Under Frequency
- Loss of Mains Protection
- Harmonic Emissions to Bs En 61000-3.2
- Voltage Flicker To Bs En 61000-3-3
