Deployment of 2 Directional Waverider Buoys and DCP's

This is an amendment to the Notice to Mariners issued on 11th November 2010.

Following requests by local fishermen, Narec has moved one Wave Buoy and one DCP closer to the Border King wreck (5508’53.40” W 0117’35.80”). The second Wave Buoy has been moved closer to the Quest wreck (N 5514’18.80” W 0105’42.90”). This was due to concerns raised that the previous locations may have caused a potential disruption to fishing.

During the deployment there will be a Local Fishing Industry Representative present to ensure that the relocation orientation is the most advantageous to the local fishing interests.

With regards to licensing requirements, the MMO has agreed to this reissue with a minimum of 24 hours notice before commencement of deployment activities.
